I fall short of Your glory all the day.

My sins will carry me away

to a dark and lonely place,

where I’m on my own without You, Lord.

I feel so scared and at the end.

I can’t seem to find my way

through the madness of this day.

Help me, God, to find the way!

Now, I see that we all have sinned

and through Your redeeming grace

which You so freely give.

Your beloved Son, shed His blood

on the cross that day

to set us free from an eternal life

of heartache and misery.

For those who believe in the Messiah’s name

and accept Your holy call,

we have the honor to become Your children.

Through Your light,

I see a way out of this darkness.

Why did You save me?

Could it be

that You have a purpose

for me upon the earth?

You show me Your power.

I proclaim You to the people of this world.

You called me to be the light in the darkness –

the light to a lost world.

I will step out in faith and not be afraid.

You will strengthen me and give me help.

You will hold me up with Your victorious right hand.
