welcome-october

October is my favorite month of the year! As I heard someone else say, October – you are my favorite color!

This time of year brings lots of things to mind. Harvest – that time when you reep what you sow; Pumpkins – a versatile food and also used for decoration; Halloween – a holiday where kids and a lot of adults dress up in costumes, carve pumpkins, eat loads of candy but also a time of darkness and the supernatural; Falling Leaves – a time of letting go; and Fall Festivals – lots of fun, eating delicious foods, hay rides and corn maizes. Of course, this is the short list.

I will explore the good and bad that this month represents from a Christian, a true believer in Jesus Chrsit (Yeshua), point of view.

God tells us to test everything!

Do not quench the Spirit,
do not despise prophetic messages,
but test all things, hold fast to what is good,
keep away from every kind of evil. – 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 TLV (emphasis is mine)

Loved ones, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. – 1 John 4:1 TLV (emphasis is mine)

We are to be devoted to what is good and stay away from everything evil.

Let love be without hypocrisy—detesting what is evil, holding fast to the good. – Romans 12:9 TLV

This month, October, tends to be a focus on the supernatural – mostly the dark and evil side. As I have realized, the supernatural is all in the Bible – it seems the “church” in general has not focused on it or has pushed it under the rug. I mean what is more supernatural than Yeshua (Jesus Christ) being raised from the dead?! Also, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in a believer of Yeshua (Jesus Christ) the Messiah. On this subject, I will mostly be sharing articles, news stories and videos from the likes of Skywatch TV, Steve Quayle, Timothy Alberino, Jonathan Cahn and many others.

Of course, I will post about all kinds of subjects dealing with October – from foods and recipes to halloween and everything in between.

To be honest, I’m excited for this journey through the month of October. I have enjoyed the beauty and wonder of the Autumn season. Also, I have been celebrating Halloween for so many years and now I’m looking forward to seeing it from God’s point of view.

The journey awaits…
