I once enjoyed Halloween
But I no longer find it to be a scream.
I have seen the darkness that it reveals
I no longer need the chills.
Why should I participate
In something that could infuriate
My Father up above?
He has made it clear
And I should revere
The words that He has spoken.
I am not to entertain demons
and play their scheme in
tricks or treats
and run around in the dark streets.
I cannot be a part of this dark and evil day.
With witches and ghosts that mean to scare me along the way.
I don’t think my Father finds this to be okay.
He will bring this holiday to the light
And reveal it in plain sight
Halloween, your history is not much of a mystery.
You have lost your magic and
I am no longer under your spell.
